Claire and Chane don't appear often in Baccano! series as a whole, but when they do take some decent screentime: be ready to drool and rejoice.
Time is 1934 and our love birds still live! America's underworld was in dark chaos because of Huey silently pulling strings behind one of the biggest terrorist attacks in US history. Chane was fortunate enough to be left out of his plan this time, while Huey claimed Claire Stanfield to be a "device that largely distorted my plans" back in jail with amusing eyes. Whether his statement was negative or not, quiet days are probably too much to ask for in the world of Baccano! - that's for sure.
Misty Park
Spike, a former follower of Huey's, approached Chane in the park one day and threatened her to confess everything she knew about Huey's "experiments" at the moment. As we know, Chane had practically lost all contact with her father after Flying Pussyfoot, whether it be part of Huey's long-term plan or otherwise. However, even if Chane were aware of Huey's doings, she would never betray his confidence, thus a battle broke out almost immediately. Like before, Chane was ready to bet everything she had to protect her father.
Then Claire appeared out of the shadow. Apparently he was furious - even if nobody but himself would have believed so due to the way he spoke - because Spike and co. interrupted what was going to be a perfect date between Chane and himself. Big mistake for Spike to make there, whose one-time encounter with Claire back in 1931 was enough to leave a big scar in his career. He ran away as soon as he learned of Claire's identity... leaving me nothing more to talk about, damn it. When will we meet Claire and Chane in Baccano! again after this? I hope it's soon.
(FYI: I'm trying really hard to keep a straight face while typing all those up.)
