Chane is wonderful. Sometimes I even think she's too good for Claire, though the sole existence of this site proves me wrong already.

In a life as exciting as that of Baccano!, it was almost difficult to discover the heart of Chane Laforet - the girl without a voice - at first. But she grows on you in a quiet yet determined way: even God Himself had easily admitted defeat.
Silent Knife
Chane has three image colors (or shades), black being the one she likes to wear and look at a regular basis, representing what most people consider Chane to be: quiet, reserved and devoid of emotion. Meanwhile, Claire is the only person who immediately associated Chane with white, which as we were soon to learn, is a perfect display of Chane's pure heart. (Not to mention it's the color her father Huey loves.) The last image color gold represents loyalty, which practically defines Chane's purpose in life.
